Fallen From Grace

Remembering the time when Cartoon Network was first introduced, Saturday Mornings
Where for-ever changed.

A channel specifically that showed cartoons all the time, Wow! How cool is that?
The line-up that initially made it all work were ( In no particular order:)

  • The what a Cartoon show
  • Courage the Cowardly dog
  • Fosters Home for imaginary Friends
  • Samurai Jack
  • Dexters Laboratory
  • I am weasel
The list is Numerous, Even a Block that featured More "Grown-up" type of Cartoons
Even included Anime in a segment of "Adult Swim".  This also led to a new Block
Called, Toonami, which featured Dragon Ball Z.

That- was the height of it all, then CN's troubles began, amidst a marketing campaign gone wrong,
Involving a show called "Aqua Teen Hunger Force".

The best shows started to dissapear , As Cartoon Network tried to show that it wasn't struggling-
It was more and more evident, As they aired shows that had in my own opinion, Little to No
Entertainment Value, Zero, ZILCH, NADA.

It even turns my stomach to mention some of these Horrible shows:

  • Dude! What would happen?
  • Destory Build Destroy
  • Mad
  • 6 teen
  • Total Drama Island
Just recently more shows were cancelled, specifically , No real reason was given, Although
Specualtion suggests, That it all may be attributed to failed toy deal, or the fact that the real reason
Most of these shows were axed, was due to not making any revenue from any of it.

  • Star Wars (the clone wars)
  • Ben 10
  • Chowder
  • Symbiotic Titan
These are just a FEW examples, At this point Cartoon Network only cares about one thing-
MONEY, Not it's audience, It's a recipe of Disaster that, Eventually CN  will crash and burn,
Amidst the flames of Destruction will it then realize that they should of cared for it's viewers?

At this point- It may be Far too late.
Rest in Peace Cartoon Network.
